Dodge County Law Enforcement Memorial Groundbreaking

22-Jul-2014

Activity abounded Monday morning at the future site of the Dodge County Law Enforcement Memorial at the County Administration Building in Juneau.  After a brief ceremonial groundbreaking, the heavy equipment came out and the digging began.  The idea of honoring Law Enforcement personnel who gave the ultimate sacrifice with a brick-and-mortar memorial has been around for quite a few years.  Sheriff Pat Ninmann, Memorial Committee Member said, “It’s wonderful to see equipment at work on the Memorial.  The Association and the Memorial Committee have done a lot of work to get us to where we are today”.

The Memorial is set to be formally dedicated on September 11, 2014.  The committee is looking to have as many surviving family members as possible attend the dedication.  The memorial pavers have been a great source of sponsorship according to Juneau Police Chief Dave Beal, Memorial Committee Member.  Chief Beal said, “We need to submit our paver orders for engraving to Archie Monument by August 1st so they’re done in time for Vogt Landscaping to install them.”  If you are interested in purchasing a paver please contact Chief Beal at 920-386-4810 or your local law enforcement.

Horicon Police Chief Joseph W. Adamson, Memorial Committee Member said, “We have received tremendous support from Dodge County and numerous cities, villages, and towns in the County.  Our corporate citizens have shined bright and helped make this dream become a reality.”
