Dodge County Sheriff Ninmann Runs For Election

Dodge County Sheriff Patricia Ninmann announced over the weekend that she will be running for Sheriff this fall. Governor Scott Walker appointed her to succeed Sheriff Todd Nehls on April 5th of last year following Nehls’ retirement. At the time Ninmann was the Deputy Jail Administrator and a Lieutenant in the department. She has been with the Sheriff’s Department since 1996. Ninmann began a number of initiatives with the department including a drug drop box, the Coffee with a Cop program, an opiod task force, and more. She also cites a 5 percent increase in OWI citations, 12 percent increase in speeding citations, and decreased crashes of 2.9 percent. There was also a 45 percent decrease in violent crimes and increase of 13 percent in clearance rate. Property crimes also decreased by 29 percent in the County during the past year.  To see the announcement click here
