Dodge County Sheriff Schmidt Grateful For Walmart Donation

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has received a $2,500 donation from Walmart to purchase ballistic helmets.  In 2015, the life of a Neenah Police Officer was saved when gunfire struck his ballistic helmet.  The bullet that struck his helmet ricocheted off saving his life.  “Keeping my deputies safe is my number 1 priority” said Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt.  If anyone would like to assist the Sheriff’s Office in raising money to outfit all of its deputies, they may contact Sheriff Dale Schmidt to make a donation.  The cost of the helmets is estimated at about $400 per helmet and the sheriff’s office would need about 30 more helmets to outfit their staff.  The Sheriff’s Office is also grateful to Walmart for another $500 donation to the Dodge County Law Enforcement Explorer Post.
