DOJ Releases More Complete Report On Trooper Casper Shooting

The state’s Department of Justice released records Tuesday from the murder of State Trooper Trevor Casper and death of bank robber Steven Snyder. There’s a 965-page report, audio from the dispatching for the incident, dash cam video and a number of photos. Video of the shootout and other sensitive information wasn’t released. Audio of first reports about the shooting came from a dashboard cam. There were also desperate pleas from an officer at the scene to “Stay with us Trevor.” The shooting happened near the West Johnson Street Pick ‘N Save on March 24th. Twenty-one shots were exchanged between Trooper Casper and Snyder. Authorities found nearly $137,000 in cash in Snyder’s car along with a manifesto. Wisconsin DOJ photo.
