Domestic Violence Program Sees Federal Grant

A program that helps protect victims of domestic violence will be seeing a big boost. Attorney General Brad Schimel announced a $500,000 federal grant for the Lethality Assessment Program. The program connects victims of domestic violence who are at a high risk for experiencing lethal violence with community-based services. Ninety-three law enforcement agencies and seventeen victim service organizations across twenty Wisconsin counties have been trained to use the program. The grant will help expand the program to more areas of Wisconsin over the next two years.
