Dornbrook Named Campbellsport Police Chief

After three months as the Campbellsport Police Department’s Officer in Charge, Brandon-Fairwater Police Chief Tom Dornbrook will become Campbellsport’s Police Chief. Dornbrook and fellow Brandon-Fairwater Officer Troy Damsteegt were sworn in as temporary officers in May while the Campbellsport Police Department went through a transition following the resignation of Chief Jay Zautner. Campbellsport Village Board President David Krebs says they liked Dornbrook’s long history in law enforcement and the fact that he has ties to the Village. Plus they saw how he operated in the interim. Dornbrook lived in Campbellsport from 1964 to 1977. He has been in law enforcement for 40 years this November. He says he isn’t ready to hang up his hat just yet. Dornbrook starts as Campbellsport Police Chief on Tuesday, September 5th.
