Double Stabbing Suspect Charged, Held on Bond

The man accused of stabbing two people at a
home along East Johnson Street
last week is facing several charges, including felony substantial battery.
36-year old Joseph Aleman is being held on $50,000 cash bond.

 Aleman allegedly
stabbed two men with a pocket knife around 5:30pm last Saturday afternoon
following an altercation that police believe was drug-related. A woman at the
home tried to stop the fight with a broom, then again with an ax. Aleman left
the scene and was arrested earlier this week when he showed up for an unrelated
court hearing.

A preliminary hearing is set for mid-December.
