Downtown Opportunities

Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership Executive Director Amy Hansen says two properties they have sent out requests for proposals on are the former Main Exchange restaurant and the Elks Club. She says they are looking at the biggest opportunities in the Downtown to revitalize an area. She says the Main Exchange building is in good shape. She says it is in good condition and the parcel to the south of it is also included. She says the Elks Club is a different story because of its age and size. Still she is willing to hear any ideas someone may have for its use. She says she would love to see an old-fashioned supper club go into that building. Hansen says she would hate to see Fond du Lac lose such a beautiful historic building.
