DPI Releases School & District Report Card Data for 2018-19

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction says the
percentage of public and private schools and public school districts that are
meeting expectations on state report cards remains high. A news release from DPI
says 87 percent of rated schools met or exceeded expectations on the report
cards for 2018-19. 96 percent of the state’s 421 public school districts also
met or exceeded expectations.

Results from the Fond du Lac area show –

The following school districts are “Exceeding
Expectations”:

North Fond du Lac – overall score of a 74.5

Rosendale-Brandon – overall score of a 76.0

Lomira – overall score of a 76.6

Oakfield – overall score of an 80.4

Ripon – overall score of a 78.5

Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah – overall score of an 82.5

Green Lake – overall score of a 76.5

Kewaskum – overall score of a 78.5

Kiel – overall score of a 73.5

The following school districts are “Meeting
Expectations”:

Fond du Lac – overall score of a 66.9

Waupun – overall score of a 68.7

Mayville – overall score of a 69.3

Chilton – overall score of a 70.4

New Holstein – overall score of a 71.8

Oshkosh – overall score of a 72.4

Campbellsport – overall score of a 72.8

 

The report cards range from five stars – which are schools and
districts that “significantly exceed expectations” to one star, which are those
that fail to meet expectations. Scores are calculated in four areas – student achievement,
school growth, closing gaps between student groups and measures of students being
on-track for post-secondary readiness. DPI says the report cards are considered
a “snapshot” of performance across those priority areas, and can be used to target improvement efforts.
