Drug Convictions Mounting In Major Investigation

A 33-year-old Fond du Lac man was the second person involved in a local drug ring to be sentenced for his crimes. Travis Kind was sentenced this week to 8 years in prison and 12 years of extended supervision for selling heroin. Fond du Lac County Deputy District Attorney Dennis Krueger says Kind would have been sentenced to more time if he hadn’t been cooperative in a joint investigation that led to his prosecution and 10 others. In July 34-year-old Robert Olson of Ripon was sentenced to five years probation for his role in area drug sales. Only four of the eleven investigated haven’t reached a plea or been sentenced. Krueger says that indicates investigators did a good job putting their cases together. Judge Peter Grimm sentenced Kind on Monday.
