Duffy Resigns From NFDL Village Board

North Fond du Lac Village Trustee John Duffy has resigned. Duffy is applying for the Village Administrator job and can’t be serving on the board because it would be a conflict of interest. Village Administrator Chuck Hornung will be retiring in July. The Village has received 35 applications for the position. They’ve hired a search firm, Public Administration Associates out of Oshkosh, to help with the search. Meanwhile notices will be sent out with water bills at the end of the month advising village residents about the vacancy on the Village Board. Hornung says letters of interest should be submitted by February 9th from anyone interested in serving the remainder of Duffy’s term on the board, which runs to April of 2019. The board will pick his replacement at their February 19th meeting. That person would begin their service on the board on March 5th.  Duffy is a former Fond du Lac Fire Captain and also served as president of the North Fond du Lac School Board.
