Eden Man Who Scuffled With Deputy Pleads

The 22-year-old Eden man who scuffled with a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputy last July has pled no contest to two charges stemming from the incident. Colton O’Brien pled to attempting to disarm the deputy and 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered. The deputy was investigating a noise complaint when O’Brien punched the deputy and tried to take the deputy’s handgun from his holster. Meanwhile 20-year-old Tanner Gremminger of Campbellsport took the deputy’s taser, but didn’t use it.  O’Brien will be sentenced on March 31st. Gremminger has a plea hearing in May.
