Eldorado Sticks With State’s New Rifle Rule

The Town of Eldorado will stick with the state’s new rule allowing the use of rifles during the gun-deer season. The Town Board last night voted against an ordinance that would have banned the use of rifles inside the Town limits during the hunt. That occurred during a meeting of the Town Board at the Eldorado Community Center.  Eldorado Town Chairman Gary Miller says they had a big turnout for the meeting. He cast the sole vote in favor of a ban. He says a rifle round can travel several miles and lots of people hunt the Eldorado Marsh. Miller says most of the people that attended last evening’s meeting are in favor of the state’s new rule. The gun-deer season begins on Saturday, November 23rd.
