Eleven Facing FDL County Charges For Selling Over A Million Dollars Worth Of Heroin

Eleven people are facing charges in Fond du Lac County for selling over $1 million worth of heroin between March of 2015 and February of this year. Nine of those individuals are in custody. They allegedly sold 7,000 grams or 15.4 pounds of heroin in Fond du Lac and Winnebago County. Officials say the investigation started with a traffic stop by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office that seized more than 100 grams of heroin. The subsequent investigation, which led to numerous additional arrests and seizures of drugs and money, was turned over to the Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group or MEG Unit and City of Fond du Lac Police.  Throughout the investigation more than 150 grams of heroin, 7 grams of crack cocaine and thousands of dollars in cash were seized. The heroin seized during the investigation represents 1,500 bindles and has a street value of $30,000 to $60,000. Also participating in the past year’s investigation was the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation, and the Fond du Lac County District Attorney’s Office. Authorities are seeking assistance from the public in providing additional assistance to help their investigation.
