Emergency Operations Prepares For Another Winter Storm

The State Emergency
Operations Center (SEOC) will elevate to Level 3 status at 8 a.m. Thursday,
February 20, 2014 to monitor the winter storm. The SEOC will remain staffed
throughout the duration of the storm. Heavy snowfall, freezing rain and strong
winds are expected to impact the state tomorrow. Forecasters with the National
Weather Service say some parts of West Central and Northwest Wisconsin could
receive more than 12 inches of snow. Southern Wisconsin is expected to receive
freezing rain.

State agencies in the
SEOC will include Wisconsin Emergency Management (WEM), Wisconsin Department of
Transportation, Wisconsin State Patrol, Wisconsin Department of Natural
Resources and the Wisconsin National Guard.
