Evers Receives State Patrol Protection

Democratic candidate for governor Tony Evers is now receiving
security protection from the State Patrol, after an unspecified issue arose
over the weekend. Evers and Governor Scott Walker are battling in a tight
campaign, with less than a week left before voters head to the polls.

Both
candidates are making their rounds through the state prior to the November 6th
election.

Walker
– like past governors – receives protection from the State Patrol, but
candidates for governor usually do not get that same protection.

This move also
comes in the wake of several high-profile Democrats across the country being
sent bombs in the mail.
