Ewell Found Guilty Of Helping Sister Hide Body

A Fond du Lac County jury Friday night found a 36-year-old Fond du Lac woman guilty of helping her sister hide a murder victim’s body. The jury found Tina Ewell guilty of hiding a corpse, aiding a felon, and obstructing an officer. Ewell was suspected of helping her sister Eve Nance hide the body of Nance’s husband Tim after Eve shot and killed him in their home in November of 2013. The jury’s verdict followed four days of testimony and closing arguments Friday morning. Ewell cried when she heard the verdict and so did several family members. Judge Peter Grimm revoked Ewell’s $1,500 cash bond, but gave her work release privileges. A sentencing date will be scheduled. Eve Nance was sentenced in May to 25 years to life in prison.
