Fatal Accident At County A & E In Dodge County

Update: 

Dodge County Sheriff’s officials have released the names of the two 17-year-old Washington County youths involved in a fatal rollover accident during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Aaron Mindel of West Bend failed to negotiate an “S” curve at the intersection of County Highways A and E. His passenger, Lucas Gromowski of Jackson, died at the scene. Mindel suffered non-life threatening injuries. The accident was reported just before 9 p.m. Saturday night.

On November 29th,
2014 at approximately 8:49 p.m. the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to
a single vehicle roll over crash at the intersection of County Highway A and
County Highway E in the Town of Beaver Dam, Dodge County. 

 

The vehicle a 2008
Honda Accord was being driven east bound on County Highway E by a 17 year old from West Bend.  The vehicle failed to negotiate the “S” curve
at the intersection with County
Highway
A. 
The vehicle then entered the south gravel shoulder of the Cth E.  The vehicle went airborne landing in the
north bound lane of Cth A where the vehicle went airborne again causing the
vehicle to roll over.  The passenger, a
17 year old from Jackson,
was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s
office.   The driver involved sustained
non-life threatening injuries. 

 

The names of those
involved are being withheld at this time pending family notification.  The school where the individuals attended has
been notified. 

 

Agencies that
assisted at the scene were the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, Beaver Dam Police
Department, Beaver Dam Fire and EMS, Dodge
County Medical Examiner’s Office, Dodge County Crash Investigation Team, and
DCERT. 

 

The crash is
currently under investigation by the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team.
