Fatal Crash in the Town of Rosendale

Authorities have now released the names of the accident victims in the 2-car crash that happened Monday afternoon in the town of Rosendale. The Fond du Lac County
Communications center first received calls about the crash on Highway 26 near Griffith
Road just after 12:30 pm. Reports say  25-year-old Rose M. Larson from Brandon was
driving south on Highway 26 when she lost control of her vehicle on the ice and
snow covered road. Her vehicle entered the northbound lane and was hit by a car
being driven north by  61-year-old Jane Piddington from Winneconne. Larson was
wearing a seat belt but died from her injuries at the scene. Piddington was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh with non-life-threatening
injuries. A dog in the southbound car was also killed in the crash. The
Wisconsin State Patrol, Rosendale Fire and First Responders, Ripon Ambulance
and the Fond du Lac County Highway Department assisted at the scene.
