Fatal Crash In Winnebago County

Winnebago County Sheriff’s officials say the pickup truck driver who died in a head-on crash with a semi Friday morning was a 22-year-old Ripon man. Zachary Guyant died at the scene of the crash at State Highway 44 and County Road FF. The semi-driver was 58-year-old Steven Plantz. He was not injured. Guyant was heading south when he crossed over the center line and hit the semi-trailer. The accident was reported about about 5:30 Friday morning.

A man is dead following a crash between a pickup truck and semi in Winnebago County Friday morning. Sheriff’s officials say it happened about 5:30 a.m. on Highway 44 at County Road FF.  The pickup truck was heading south when it crossed over the center line and struck the semi trailer head on. That stretch of road is between Oshkosh and Ripon. The Sheriff’s office was assisted by the State Patrol, Utica and Oshkosh Fire Departments.
