FDL And Dodge County Pursuit Suspect Arrested
An 18-year-old man has been taken into custody in connection with the thefts of three vehicles and pursuits by the Fond du Lac and Dodge County Sheriff’s Departments over the weekend. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials say the man was taken into custody Monday in Jefferson County. A Fond du Lac County sheriff’s deputy pursued a reckless driving suspect into Dodge County on Highway 175 late Saturday night. That pursuit ended when the stolen vehicle lost control and crashed on State Highway 49. The driver got out of the vehicle and fled on foot through a corn field. Two other vehicles were stolen early Sunday morning and Dodge County Sheriff’s deputies and Beaver Dam Police pursued the man in another pursuit. Again he crashed a vehicle and was able to get away by running into a corn field. Dodge County investigators later learned of a residential burglary near Fox Lake where a vehicle, a firearm and ammunition were taken. No one was injured during the incidents.
