FDL Area Safety Council Poster Contest Winners

The Fond du Lac Area Safety Council, a division of the Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce along with Society Insurance, teamed up to sponsor the annual Safety Poster Drawing Contest.  Nearly 100 entries were received for this year’s “Slips, Trips and Falls” contest theme.

Again this year, the contest covered two age groups, Kindergarten through second grade (K – 2) and third through fifth grade (3 – 5). Each age group won prizes!  Winners of the Safety Poster Contest received a $100 Association of Commerce Gift Certificate that can be used at over 830 Fond du Lac businesses.  Second place received a $50 Gift Certificate and third place a $25 Gift Certificate.  Honorable Mention received a $15 Association of Commerce Gift Certificate.

“We are committed to promoting safety in industries, homes, traffic and public places,” stated Joanne Schneider of Mid-States Aluminum Corp, 2015 president of the Fond du Lac Area Safety Council.  “And this contest is a great way for the Safety Council to connect with students and get them thinking about safety in all things.”

The Fond du La Area Safety Council congratulates the winners of this year’s contest and thanks all those who participated.  The winning posters are on display at various businesses throughout Fond du Lac County.

Micah Boggs of Redeemer Lutheran School placed first in the K – 2 division. Isabelle Berg of Roberts Elementary School received second place), and Addyson Suprenand of Redeemer Lutheran School received third place (K – 2).  Honorable Mention (K – 2), were: Grace Schultz, Drew Shafer, Evan Cole, Madeline Schwefel, Miriam Borgwardt, Brendan Krammer and Owen Ehlke – all from Redeemer Lutheran School.

Ava Huempfner of St. Mary’s Springs Academy placed first in the (3 – 5) division.  Sadie Burg of St. Mary’s Springs Academy received second place (3 – 5), and Bella Geisthardt of Brandon Elementary School and Ava Lorenz of Redeemer Lutheran School tied for third place (3 – 5).  Honorable Mention (3 – 5), were: Jack Feudner, Cooper Longley, Eliza Aitken and Sam Baker – all from St. Mary’s Springs Academy; and Natalee Boelk, Averie Suprenand and Olivia Schwefel – all from Redeemer Lutheran School.
