FDL City Budget Overview

Fond du Lac City Manager Joe Moore gave the City Council an overview of the 2017 City Budget Wednesday night. He says personnel costs for 2017 will be much less than they were five years ago. The personnel costs will be about 10 percent less than 2012 or $24.5 million. He says the tax levy will be about $1.1 million more than 2016. He says that’s about a 4.7 percent increase. Much of the increase is due to the nearly $7 million in debt the City will be paying off this year. Overall the operating budget increase is 1.4 percent. Moore says he feels pretty good about the budget the Council is being presented with. Moore says more information about the City budget will be posted on the City’s website today.
