FDL City Council Approves Parking Restriction Changes

The Fond du Lac City Council approved changes to parking restrictions at Wednesday night’s meeting. Parking restrictions in front of the former St. Joseph’s School and St. Peter’s School on 2nd Street have been removed. The Council also approved removing the metered parking on 2nd Street from Military to the bridge over the east branch of the Fond du Lac River. City Engineer Paul DeVries says that should benefit both the YMCA and customers of the post office. Instead there will be a two-hour parking limit on both sides of the street from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. The Council also approved a no parking zone on County Highway K from State Highway 23 to just north of St. Mary’s Springs Academy for the safety of school staff and students.
