FDL City Council Warned About Comments They Will Receive On Street Projects

Fond du Lac City Manager Joe Moore recently warned City Council members to brace themselves for comments they will receive next year on a pair of big street projects. Following a review of this past season’s street projects Moore talked about the projects on South Main and Fond du Lac Avenue next year. He says in the end it will be really nice, but getting there over the next few construction seasons will be tough. The South Main Street project will extend from 6th to 21st street and will involve milling and repaving. But both street projects will affect a lot of businesses and residences. Moore says one positive outcome of the various street projects is that by 2021 all the entrances to the city will be much improved. That will include 175 coming in on Main Street, Military Road and County Road D, and Fond du Lac Avenue. Highway 23 West at Rolling Meadows Drive will be improved next year and Moore is hoping Highway 23 will also be improved or the next few years.
