FDL City Council Will Wait Until After Budget To Talk About Replacing Foster

Fond du Lac City Manager Joe Moore asked the City Council before the end of their meeting this week what kind of time frame they wanted for discussing the replacement of Councilman Brian Foster. He said they would need time to deliberate on how they wanted to go about selecting a successor. Foster’s last meeting will be on October 14th the same night the Council will hold a public hearing on the proposed 2016 City Budget. Councilwoman Catherine Block said they should wait until after they are done with the budget, which others agreed with. She said she didn’t think there was any rush to schedule deliberations for that. Foster recently submitted his resignation. He is moving out of town and his job as Warden of Green Bay Correctional Institution is demanding more of his time.
