FDL City Councilman Sounds Off On Drug Dealers

10-May-2013

Fond du Lac City Councilman Rob Vande Zande sounded off at the end of the Council’s meeting Wednesday night about a drug deal that went down the previous night in front of his home. He said he didn’t want his family including his 16-year-old son being exposed that. He called 911 and urges other residents who see that type of activity to call police as well. During the meeting Vande Zande called the drug dealers “hoodlums” and “degenerates.” He says people shouldn’t have to put up with “crap like this.” He says he’s tired of it and when it hits this close to home he has to say something. Vande Zande mentioned the progress police have made in arresting more than 120 people for dealing drugs in the past year. In this particular case the dealers were gone when police arrived.

Drug deals happen in my neighborhood all the time. There have been lots of arrests, but there's still deals going on. Most of it is behind closed doors, so you don't see a lot of it out in public. Still, its crazy how many of these 120 dealers arrested in the past year are from my neighborhood yet I still almost never see squad cars rolling through.

These dealers should all have the option of life in jail or giving up their source so we can go after the route cause of this. None of this slap on the wrist and back to the street they go.

Put them out of business and legalize drugs, that is truly the smartest approach

So he first realized now there were drug dealers in fdl? This guy is quick! Same a hole that tried to get bull dogs banned for fdl last year!
