FDL County Board Approves Revised Agreement For Former Nursing Home Project

The Fond du Lac County Board approved a revised agreement with Rolling Meadows LLC last night that will allow the developer to turn the former nursing home site into an assisted living facility. Original plans to turn the facility into a hotel got off track so some of the easements needed for that development had to be changed. County Executive Al Buechel (pictured) says he’s glad the project is back on track. He says they are fortunate the owner Tim Burns of Oshkosh is so responsible and was able to keep it a viable project. He says the company developing the project specializes in senior housing so it should be a successful project. The Fond du Lac City Council in April approved a revised agreement for the project as well. Construction is underway and the project should be completed by next summer.
