FDL County Clerk Says County Is Ready For When Early Voting Comes To The State

Fond du Lac County Clerk Lisa Freiberg says she foresees early voting coming to Wisconsin. She says unlike in-person absentee voting people would be able to place their own ballots in the election machine during the voting. She says voting totals would have to be embargoed until after the polls are closed on Election Day. She says that is a potential security issue. She says Fond du Lac County has election equipment similar to other states where early voting is being done so the county is ready. She says for Wisconsin to get early voting every county would need to have the proper equipment and a number of counties are still using paper ballots.
