FDL County Election Races Shaping Up For April

08-Jan-2014

There will be no primary election next month for Fond du Lac County Board, Fond du Lac City Council or Fond du Lac School Board candidates. However there are races to decide in April for each of those bodies. There are four contested seats on the County Board. In District 5 incumbent Mike Gannon will be challenged by Sarah Everson. Thomas Schumacher will face Kurt Schuller, the state treasurer, in District 8. In District 21 incumbent supervisor John Meyst faces former County Sheriff’s Captain Dean Will and in District 23 Kay Miller faces former Fond du Lac City Council President Marty Ryan. On the Fond du Lac City Council there are four seats with incumbents Brian Foster, Lee Ann Lorrigan, Karyn Merkel and Gary Miller all are running. They face a challenge from former Councilman Mick Burroughs. On the Fond du Lac School Board incumbents Mark Strand and Julie Nett are running for reelection. They are expected to be challenged by Linda Uselman. There will be a primary on Tuesday, February 18th for County residents living within the Lomira School District, which has a referendum.
