FDL County Health Department Offers Free Clinics For Measles Vaccine

With 170 measles cases in 17 states the Fond du Lac County Health Department has scheduled three immunization clinics this month for children 12 months through 18 years of age. Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says its surprising measles hasn’t arrived here yet. She says usually children get two doses of the measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine when they are very young and then they are good for life in warding off measles. She says they were able to get some vaccine from the state to put on the free clinics. The first clinic is next Monday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Fond du Lac County Health Department on the third floor of the City-County Government Center in Fond du Lac. The second clinic is Wednesday, March 18th from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Ripon High School. The final clinic is Monday, March 23rd from 4 to 6 p.m. at St. Isidore Parish, Holy Cross Church in Mt. Calvary.
