FDL County High Speed Chase

A high speed pursuit in Fond du Lac County Tuesday night resulted in the arrest of a 17-year-old Oshkosh man. Sheriff’s officials say they were notified by the Winnebago County Sheriff’s office that a vehicle stolen in Oshkosh was coming their way. A deputy spotted the vehicle heading south on a State Highway 26 and tried to pull it over, but the driver failed to stop. Sheriff’s Lieutenant Mike Nolan says a second deputy put out a tire deflation device. He says the driver tried to elude the device and lost control. He struck several mailboxes and posts on the west side of the highway. Ripon Ambulance treated the teen at the scene and he was taken to Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh with minor injuries.  Charges are being referred to the Fond du lac County District Attorney’s Office. Also assisting at the scene was Wisconsin State Patrol and Rosendale First Responders and Fire.
