FDL County Supervisor Running For State Assembly

A Fond du Lac County supervisor has announced he is running for the 59th State Assembly seat. Ken Depperman is also the chairperson of the Auburn Town Board.  He was in professional staffing for 35 years working for places like Manpower Incorporated. He retired five years ago and got into Town and County politics. He considers himself a Tommy Thompson Republican and feels there is not enough compromise in state politics. He says, “I have just seen there is so much polarization happening in Madison. I think what we need to do is start getting some action on things that are important to us transportation, human services, education. There are so many things that need to be done that we aren’t doing.” Depperman notes over the last four years he’s heard senators and representatives talk about how we need to get the waste out of the Department of Transportation and about how we need these studies. He says, “After four years if you haven’t gotten the waste out of the Department of Transportation then you’ve done something wrong. I think we have pretty much beat that to a dead horse. I think what we need to do now is start looking at fixes.” After two terms representing the 59th State Assembly District Jesse Kremer is returning to private industry.
