FDL Fire Dept Responds To Gas Leak
The Fond du Lac Fire Department responded to a natural gas
leak in the area of 40 Sunset Circle Friday afternoon. A construction company
was working in the area when they struck a 1-inch gas line. Fire crews evacuated
nearby residents for a short period of time until the area was determined to be
safe. Alliant Energy was contacted located a feeder line when they arrived and
clamped off the leak. The Alliant crew remained on the scene to remedy the
problem and assure that all residents regained their service. There were no
injuries. Police assisted with traffic control. The time of the call was 1:35
p.m.
