FDL Fire & Rescue Responds to House Fire on Star Street

Nobody was injured in a house fire on Star Street in the
City of Fond du Lac Saturday afternoon. Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue was called
to the scene just before 2:30 PM for the report of the fire, which firefighters
found was contained to an upstairs bedroom. The fire was put out, but not
before it caused significant damage. Fire crews stayed on scene to search for
hidden fire and provide salvage and overhaul operations. Fond du Lac Police and
Alliant Energy assisted at the scene, The Red Cross is also assisting the residents
with overnight housing until the home is deemed safe.
