FDL Man Arraigned On Stand Off Charges

The 40-year-old Fond du Lac man who got in a standoff with Fond du Lac police last December has pled not guilty to charges from the incident. Shannon Rogler was arraigned Tuesday morning in Fond du Lac County Court. Two new charges of 1st degree recklessly endangering safety with a dangerous weapon have been added to the list of charges that already include attempted 1st degree intentional homicide, burglary, arson and failing to comply with an officer. On December 9th he allegedly set fire to his foreclosed home at 65 North Hickory and later that morning got into a standoff with police while holed up in an apartment in the Elms Mobile Home Park. According to the criminal complaint he fired a number of shots into the air and ground and at one point had a police officer in his sights, but didn’t fire because he realized the officer might be someone’s father. He’s being held in the County Jail on an $850,000 cash bond.
