FDL Man Charged For Fight Related Incidents

Bond has been set at $15,000 cash for a 28-year-old Fond du Lac man who was involved in a fight and a burglary earlier this month. Hughie Roby made his initial appearance in Fond du Lac County Court Wednesday morning. Assistant Police Chief Steve Klein says Roby was involved in a fight in the 100 block of W. 1st Street on June 7th. The homeowner, a 62-year-old man, broke up the fight between Roby and another person on his front porch by firing a shot in the air. Roby left the scene before police arrived. The homeowner was arrested for intoxicated use of a firearm and disorderly conduct. Klein says about an hour later that evening Roby went to a residence in the 100 block of 3rd Street to continue the fight. Roby allegedly kicked in the door and damaged a number of items in the residence. He was armed with a knife. Roby has been charged with burglary while armed with a dangerous weapon, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, criminal trespass, and theft.
