FDL Man Critically Injured In Collision Between Minivan And Truck

A 64-year-old Fond du
Lac
man was flown to ThedaCare
Regional Medical
Center in Neenah with critical injuries after his
minivan struck a Waste Management truck in the area of County Highway D and
Highway 151. The two-vehicle crash was reported to the Fond du Lac County
Sheriff’s Department at 5:11 Wednesday morning.  The truck was backing out of a driveway at
N5404 County Highway D when the southbound minivan hit the passenger side of
the truck. The driver of the minivan has been identified as William Collins. He
was not wearing a seatbelt. ThedaStar flew him from the scene. The 52-year-old
Waupun man driving the garbage truck was identified as Gary DeJager. He wearing
a seatbelt and was taken to St.
Agnes Hospital

where he was checked for injuries, had none and was released. Also assisting at
the scene was the State Patrol, Town of Fond du Lac
Fire and First Responders, City of Fond
du Lac
Fire and Rescue, ThedaStar and the County
Highway Department.
