FDL Man Dies After Being Rescued From The FDL River

Fond du Lac Police and Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue responded to the Fond du Lac River at the dead end of John Street early Wednesday morning for a report of an intoxicated man in the river. The 57-year-old Fond du Lac man was in water up to his chest. He was pulled from the river. Assistant Police Chief Steve Klein says life saving measures were begun and the man was taken to St. Agnes Hospital where he died. The time of the rescue call was 2:53 a.m. Overnight temperatures were in the low 30s. The incident remains under investigation.
