FDL Man Expected To Plead In Heroin Death
A 40-year-old Fond du Lac man is expected to plead this afternoon to charges stemming from the heroin overdose death of a Town of Springvale man. Jason Van Norman faces 1st degree reckless homicide, heroin trafficking and other charges. He will appear before Fond du Lac County Judge Gary Sharpe this afternoon. A sentencing hearing will be held at a later date. Van Norman is charged in connection with the death of Devin Perry in October of 2012. He and 27-year-old Joshua Mulder of Waupun are both suspected of supplying the heroin that led to Perry’s death. Mulder’s case has a status conference in September. Van Norman is being held in the County Jail on $500,000 cash bail.
