FDL Man Pleads To First Degree Reckless Homicide Charge

The 41-year-old Fond du Lac man responsible for the drug overdose death of a Fond du Lac woman has pleaded “no contest” to a 1st degree reckless homicide charge. Joshua Asencio entered the plea during a hearing in Fond du Lac County Court this week. According to the criminal complaint Asencio provided the Fentanyl that led to 34-year-old Angela Cowling’s overdose on November 2nd of last year. He called 911 from Cowling’s apartment when she overdosed. EMT’s tried to resuscitate her, but were not able to.  A sentencing hearing is scheduled for January 17th.
