FDL Man Sentenced For Beating Near The Eldorado Marsh

An 18-year-old Fond du Lac man has been sentenced to 3 years in prison and 6 years of extended supervision for taking part in the beating of another man in a parking lot near the Eldorado Marsh. Thomas Qualy was sentenced this week in Fond du Lac County Court. According to the criminal complaint he and two other Fond du Lac teens beat the man because they believed he had stolen LSD from one of them. Qualy used a metal pipe and the other two men used an empty liquor bottle and a monkey wrench. The victim suffered cuts to the face, head and an index finger and broken teeth. He managed to drive himself to St. Agnes Hospital where he reported the assault to Sheriff’s investigators. His attackers also broke out the vehicle’s windows. The two other suspects, 19-year-old Bryan Castillo and 18-year-old Evan Clark, are also facing charges.
