FDL Man Sentenced For Shooting Off Gun Near Taco Bell Restaurant

The 20-year-old Fond du Lac man who shot off a handgun in the parking lot of the West Johnson Street Taco Bell last November has been sentenced to 4 ½ years in prison. Dao Vang was in Fond du Lac County Court for a sentencing hearing Monday. In April he pled no contest to an amended charge of 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety. Two other charges were read into the record and dismissed. Judge Robert Wirtz also gave him 3 years of extended supervision, which will start when he’s released from prison. No one was hurt during the incident on November 17th.  According to the criminal complaint Vang fired the gun into the air after a disagreement over a marijuana deal.
