FDL Plan Commission Approves Military Mural

Fond du Lac’s Plan Commission this week approved the painting of a mural to honor branches of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard. It will be on the north side of Dreher Collision Concepts at 290 North Main Street.  City Principal Planner Joellyn Dahlin says the idea was conceived by a Leadership Fond du Lac team. The proposed mural is 8 feet in height by 35 feet in length. The commission is also recommending that the City Council approval two special use permits. Dahlin says one would allow Two Bucks Grill and Ale House, formerly JR’s Bar, to play amplified music at their location at 65 North Main. The other special use permit would allow Kwik Trip at 471 North Park Avenue to replace underground fuel storage tanks and above ground fuel dispensers.
