FDL Plan Commission Recommends Purchase For Library

The Fond du Lac Plan Commission is recommending that the City Council purchase the property next to the library to help with the library’s plans for expansion. Community Development Director Dyann Benson says it’s not the commission’s role to recommend the purchase, but add the land to the City’s inventory of city-owned properties. The Council will take up the purchase of the property at their Wednesday, March 25th meeting. The Council has already amended the City Budget for the purchase of the building at 52 Sheboygan Street. The project was budgeted at up to $270,000.
