FDL Police Arrest Armed Robbery Suspect

Fond du Lac Police arrested a 29-year-old Fond du Lac man Tuesday afternoon they believe robbed a woman in the Friar Tuck’s parking lot on October 5th. The woman is an employee of the restaurant who was getting out of her car when the suspect approached the vehicle that evening. The suspect had a mask or face covering on and he pointed a long gun of some type at her. He took the woman’s cell phone and left on foot. Police got help from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department K-9, which tracked the suspect to apartments on Berger Parkway. Assistant Police Chief Steve Klein says Detectives Bill Ledger and Steve Kaufmann continued their investigation and Tuesday afternoon police served a search warrant at the man’s apartment. Klein says they recovered some evidence at the apartment, but did not say if a gun was recovered. The suspect is facing obstruction and armed robbery charges.
