FDL Police Investigating 2nd “Suspicious Incident”

Fond du Lac Police are investigating another suspicious
incident in which a child was approached by a stranger in a vehicle. Police say
a mother and daughter were at Lakeside Park around 3 o’clock Friday afternoon when
a man in an SUV waved to the child to come to his vehicle. The subject drove
off as the mother approached the car. The woman later reported the incident to police after
seeing a report on
social media of a similar incident that happened earlier in
the week.

The vehicle involved in the incident is a four door SUV,
copper or burgundy in color and was being driven by a white male in his 50s or
60s. The man was reported to be medium-build with shorter hair and a white
mustache. Police say a large reddish or brown colored dog was in the back of
the vehicle at the time of the incident.

Police are trying to determine if this incident is
connected to a similar one that happened April 21st in the area of
Scott Street and Wettstein Avenue. Anyone with information is asked to call the
police department at 906-5555 or the Crime Alert number at 322-3741.
