FDL Police Memorial Ceremony
The Fond du Lac Police Department hosted its annual Law
Enforcement Memorial Ceremony at Hamilton Park Friday afternoon. Each year
officers killed in the line of duty are remembered. Over the years the
department has had three officers killed in the line of duty; William Prinslow
(1898), Nick Klaske (1961) and Craig Birklholz (2011). But this year State
Trooper Trevor Casper was also paid tribute to. Casper was killed in a shootout
with bank robber Steven Snyder on March 24th in Fond du Lac. Snyder was also
killed in the exchange of gunfire. In 2014 126 law enforcement officers were
killed across the U.S. Fond du Lac Police Department photos.
