FDL Police Reached Out After Attempted Robbery
Fond du Lac Assistant Police Chief Steve Klein says after the attempted robbery at the Speedway Super America gas station last month they reached out to other law enforcement agencies to see if they had similar robberies. He says that’s how they ended up finding out that the same man likely robbed a gas station in Oshkosh in November. He says that’s based on clothing descriptions and the method used in the robberies. Police released photos of the suspect and a vehicle that may have been used in the robbery. Klein says the photo of the suspect vehicle is something they got from surveillance cameras. He says if anyone has information about the suspect or vehicle they should contact Fond du Lac or Oshkosh Police. Klein says they were concerned because the suspect in the Fond du Lac attempted robbery brandished a pocket knife.
