FDL Police Seeking Publics Help In Suspicious Incident

The Fond du Lac Police Department is investigating a report of a suspicious incident that occurred around 4:00p.m. on January 13th  in the area of S. Main Street and 15th St in the City of Fond du Lac.  The incident was reported the following day to a School Resource Officer. 

 

A female student from Theisen Middle School reported to her mother, that while she was walking home from school that she was on the east sidewalk of S. Main Street at 15th Street, when she was approached by an adult male subject who began walking with the student and talking with her.   The male subject made some comments that the girl was cute and asked her name.  The male then put his arm on her shoulder directing her to walk on 15th Street.  The girl told the male she could not go that way and walked away to go towards her home.    

 

The male subject was described as a black male, approximately 40 years of age, 5 feet 7inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with short hair and wearing a coat.   The subject did have plastic grocery bag with him that had chips inside.    A male matching that description was seen on video surveillance leaving the Kwik Trip store on S. Main Street at 3:51 p.m. that day.

 

The Fond du Lac School District was made aware of the situation and police will be stepping up patrols around Fond du Lac schools.

  

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying this subject for questioning regarding this incident.
